Community Benefits Resiliency Network RFP

United Way of New York City (UWNYC) is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultant support for our Community Benefits Resiliency Network (CBRN) initiative focused on SNAP Work Requirements Technical Assistance.

As New York City prepares for significant changes to SNAP work requirements, UWNYC is seeking a qualified consultant or consulting team to develop training, technical assistance, and outreach materials to support community-based organizations (CBOs) and the clients they serve.

The scope of work includes: Component 1: CBO SNAP Work Requirement Toolkit and Training Materials Component 2: Client Outreach and Educational Materials

Deliverables will help equip CBO staff and community members with the tools and information needed to navigate SNAP work requirements, maintain compliance, and prevent benefit loss.

Proposals are due by May 29, 2026.

HPNAP and Nourish NY Grant Application from Food Bank For New York City and United Way of New York City FY26-27

For agencies that are currently funded through Food Bank For New York City or United Way of New York City, your HPNAP and Nourish NY funding will be automatically renewed for FY26-27 (July 1, 2026- June 30, 2027).  You do not need to fill out an application. If you are currently funded and in compliance, you will receive an email confirming your renewal.

Agencies that are NOT currently receiving HPNAP and Nourish NY funding through UWNYC or FBNY are invited to apply for funding for FY26-27.

Neighborhood Food Pathways Fund Application

United Way of New York City (UWNYC) is pleased to launch a special one-time grant opportunity: Neighborhood Food Pathways Fund. The fund has been launched to expand distribution models in hard-to-reach communities in targeted New York City neighborhoods. Community Based Organizations (CBOs) which are currently funded, in good standing with UWNYC and presently serve these communities are eligible to apply:

• Bronx: Soundview / Bruckner / Bronx River; University Heights (South) / Morris Heights; Mount Eden / Claremont (West)
• Brooklyn: Bensonhurst, Borough Park, Bay Ridge
• Manhattan: Washington Heights (South), East Harlem (South), Harlem (North)
• Queens: Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Flushing / Willets Point
• Staten Island: Great Kills / Eltingville, Mariner’s Harbor / Arlington / Graniteville, New Dorp / Midland Beach

Seed Grant Application

United Way of New York City is pleased to announce that the 2026 Seed Grant Application will be open starting December 19, 2026. NYC based non-profit organizations are invited to submit projects that develop or improve nutrition education programs or urban farming initiatives that incorporate nutrition or culinary education for low-income individuals. This is a 12-month grant running from April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027. Selected projects may receive up to $30,000.

 Note: past Seed Grant recipients from 2020 onwards will be ineligible to participate in this grant cycle. Seed Grant funding cannot be used for food purchases, operating, expansion, or start-up costs for food pantries, soup kitchens, or other Emergency Feeding Programs (EFPs). Applications requesting funds for food, food distribution, or the operation/startup of EFPs will be automatically disqualified.

Step 2: Download Required 1) Project Goals and 2) Budget Proposal templates. NOTE: there are character limits in the “Project Goals” form to keep responses brief and to the point
