ABAWD Volunteer Site Opportunity
Feb 25, 2026 10:30AM-11:30AM Eastern Time
- The NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) team, in partnership with City Harvest, Food Bank For NYC, and United Way of New York City, is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 25 2026 from 10:30AM – 11:30AM for Emergency Food Providers that are interested in becoming a qualified volunteer site for ABAWD SNAP recipients. Changing federal requirements effective March 1, 2026 puts thousands of NYC SNAP recipients at risk to lose SNAP benefits. The emergency food system, at the front lines of feeding vulnerable New Yorkers each day, is uniquely positioned to offer volunteer opportunities to help mitigate this risk.
- In this webinar, HRA will outline the process and criteria for applying to be a volunteer site, ongoing administration and reporting requirements, and answer any questions. The webinar will be recorded for later viewing.
