The Consortium of City Harvest, Food Bank For New York City, and United Way of New York City invites proposals from consulting firms to lead a comprehensive five-year strategic and technical planning process for FeedNYC, an existing public-private software platform (https://feednyc.org/) that supports New York City’s emergency food system. The goals of this work are to build on FeedNYC and transform it from a supply chain integrity tool into a key source of data intelligence for the city — returning greater value to the 1,000+ emergency food providers who report into it, producing shared intelligence for the whole field, and ensuring the platform is on a sustainable technical and operating footing to deliver for the long-term.
The work includes setting vision and goals, developing user requirements, completing a current-state technical audit, and producing a five-year strategic and technological plan for FeedNYC. The process will include the many stakeholders across the emergency food network.
This Request for Proposals describes the background and purpose of the engagement, the scope of work and deliverables, the qualifications and materials required of proposers, how proposals will be evaluated, and how to submit.
