United Way of New York City (UWNYC), in partnership with National Grid Foundation, is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for community based organizations providing utility assistance to households in Queens.
This grant supports direct utility assistance payments to National Grid and Con Edison customer accounts to help residents reduce arrears and prevent shutoffs and stabilize housing. Funds may only be used for direct utility payments and cannot be used for operating or administrative expenses.
Eligible organizations must be 501c (3) nonprofits servicing Queens residents and have at least one year of experience providing direct utility assistance.
